It’s back to school time and we thought it might be appropriate for a pizza ordering cheat sheet. Maybe it’s your first time away from home, or maybe ordering online is new to you… whatever the case we are here to walk you through it. Easy as (pizza) pie!

Whether it’s for a group of people, or a pie just for you, -know in advance, before you call what it is you, and everyone else wants. Aunt Caroline is gluten-free, Jimmy hates tomatoes, Marcy likes extra cheese – or was it extra non-dairy mozzarella cheese? If you are dealing with a large group, it helps to write it down. Feel free to give us a call to see what the daily special is, and visit www.wiseguypizzapie.com to check out our great menu and to order on-line. It’s super easy- we promise!

Order in advance

For large groups, we appreciate a little notice if possible. Even the night before is awesome! Another option is to pick up some half-baked pizzas so you can time the baking and have them ready when it fits your schedule.

We’re here for ya

Don’t forget- We also have appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and calzones. Something for everyone! Date night and need us to leave off the onions? No problem! Crazy for artichokes and want extra? You got it!

Remember, left over pizza is never a bad thing…

Once you’ve figured out the pizza you want, don’t forget about the size. We have 14, and 18-inch pizzas at Wiseguys. – How many do these serve? Typically 14” = 8 slices (2-3 people), and 18” = 12 slices (3-4 people). Gluten free is available in 10” (6 slices). Check out our favorite ways to re-heat pizza!

Give us a ring

We aren’t in your contacts? That stings a little. It only takes a few seconds to have us at your fingertips. And because we have multiple locations be sure you are calling/adding the correct one.

Delivery

Make sure you have the correct address. If you are at someone else’s house and it’s turned into a huge party, it’s easy to miscommunicate the address you’re at. We get it… You can always call us back when you get it figured out.

Show us the $

Have your payment information ready – the quicker the payment, the faster that pie goes into the oven.

When ordering for a group consider the following:

How many people have BIG appetites- Are they going to easily eat half a pizza?

How many are only going to eat one slice?

Top this

According to one survey site, here are the top 10 ingredients most Americans prefer to have topping their pizzas:

  1. Pepperoni
  2. Mushrooms
  3. Mozzarella
  4. Bacon
  5. Ham
  6. Sausage
  7. Onions
  8. Olives
  9. Peppers
  10. Onions

Keep in mind, just because they are the most popular doesn’t mean they will be the most group-friendly. While a cheese pizza might not be the most requested, it’s a safe bet if people don’t care for the choices available, or if they are vegetarian.

Hey Wiseguy- How much should I tip the pizza delivery driver?

Generally speaking, delivery orders that are less than $20 are given a minimum tip of $3. If the order is over $20, then it’s customary to calculate a tip that is 10%-15% of the order (but never less than $5).
